Established in 1986, the Tri-City American Legion was chartered to serve the communities of New Brighton, Columbia Heights, and St. Anthony, Minnesota, hence the name "Tri-City." Conveniently located just west of Interstate 35W and just south of Interstate 694, as a full-service Post, Tri-City offers membership to all United States Veterans. With over 700 members, the post has a strong presence within the community and provides opportunities for the general public to utilize its wide-array of services/facilities (including a full-service dining room offering tasty dishes, a cozy, but "happening," lounge, and spacious banquet facilities, able to cater to any special occasion). Most of all, Tri-City offers a variety of social activities and adult/youth programs -- all aimed at building a strong sense of community and Americanism.
Consider Tri-City's award-winning Color Guard unit, which exemplifies our pride in our country. Or, Tri-City's active Blood Donor Club, serving veterans and their family members who are in medical need. And look to the many active Tri-City volunteers, who give of their time to serve disabled veterans and others in the community who are in need of a helping hand, a smile and a kind word. Post 513 also has a stong tradition of serving the young people of our cities -- and beyond. While already having been a long-time sponsor of youth baseball programs for the "tri-cities," beginning in 1990, the Tri-City Legion further expanded its community support in the northeastern suburbs by volunteering to sponsor an American Legion baseball program for neighboring communities. Sponsorship of additional youth/young men's baseball programs followed, and today, the Tri-City Legion is considered a leader in the sponsorship and promotion of youth baseball programs in the Minneapolis/St. Paul metropolitan area, as well as in the State of Minnesota.
We invite you to explore the following sections of our web site -- to learn how you can partake in, and contribute to, our efforts to continue to build a strong sense of community and Americanism for the benefit of all. As you can see, we are proud of our Post, its programs, and the many people who contribute their time to make it what it is.
